October 12...Moab (Day 6)

(Kim's Perspective)
We moved campsites yet again. The camp host informed us that there were three non-reservable spots that were open for first come first served. We decided we'd transfer to one of those spots so we have the option of extending our stay.

After relocating and getting set back up, we spent the day at Canyonlands driving around, stopping at the overlooks, and hiking a couple of the trails.

The first hike was to the top of Whale Rock.

It was like a mini Half Dome...

We did a hike along the rim as well. That one was a lot of fun. Not strenuous and only 2 miles roundtrip, but there were a lot of cool things to see and lots of rock scrambling to be done.

I really liked this tree...

...perspective is everything.

We watched another canyon sunset

and headed back to the trailer for a quick dinner of soup and grilled cheese. I worked on the blog awhile and then we headed to bed. Ah...the simple life. :)
