August 4...SNRA (Day 9)

(Kim's Perspective)
Nothing fun to report for today. We've stayed here so long our battery keeps dying so we decided to suck it up and purchase a generator. Naturally, with a population of 100, Stanley is not the place to make said purchase. This required a jaunt to Twin Falls - 2.5 hours away.

We picked up the generator, grabbed some groceries and treated ourselves to some yummy barbecue at

Where, apparently, they'll smoke anything - as long as it's legal. :)

So, aside from seeing some weird lava flow area along highway 93....

there weren't many noteworthy things to write home about. It was HOT there. 98 degrees at one point. I hate the heat. I became grumpy. As we got back into Stanley, it was a perfect 76 degrees with a nice breeze. My mood instantly improved. There is just no reason for us to leave here. :)
