We ran into town to get gas while we were unhitched and picked up some groceries at Fred Meyer. BTW - Thanks for introducing us to Fred, Jack.
We came back to the campsite, packed up, hitched up, and headed out at 1 pm. Before we left, we stopped by the Yew Tree. Humpf. You learn something new every day.
We headed to Bogachiel State Park just south of Forks, Washington via highway 101.

The drive was largely anticlimactic since A) we’d already seen it and B) it was raining and foggy. We are both starting to grow weary of the rain and fog around here.
We're amused by the signs that advertise the rain forests.
We've been camping in temperate rain forests since the Cascades. Neither of us is inclined to visit the "official" rain forests within Olympic. After awhile, if you've seen one stand of ancient, moss covered trees, you've seen them all. Really, it's not unlike caverns. We've been to some cool caverns - Mammoth Caves which is the longest cave system in the world and Carlsbad Caverns where we saw hundreds of thousands of Mexican free-tail bats high-tail it (HA!) out of the cave for their nightly feeding. So...caverns, are cool for what they are, but I quickly lose interest in them after the first few minutes. Apparently, old-growth forests and temperate rain forests also fall into a similar "oh, that was cool - now what are we going to go see?" category.
Anywho...
We got to the park, dumped our tanks and secured one of the remaining two spots left in the campground that would accommodate a rig of our size. Whew!
We set up and then chilled the remainder of the night. We had Jack-O’s gorgonzola burgers for dinner (just as yummy as the first time - again, thank you very much, Jack) and curled up in bed with our Kindles after dinner was cleaned up.
It didn’t take long for me to get sleepy so we did our devotions and then turned the lights out around eleven. An uneventful day, but rainy travel days generally don't yield much to write home about. :)
