We left Deschutes River this morning and headed for Wallowa Lake State Park in Eastern Oregon. Jack sent Bill an email asking if his navigator checked the scale on the map. We laughed. We decided that if we want to do Hells Canyon, it’s now or never.
SO… We jumped on the highway (84) to make time. Nothing much to be said about that. Interstates have a purpose but it’s generally not to entertain; however, passing this oversized tractor trailer was slightly entertaining…in a white knuckle kind of way.
After 2 1/2 months on the road, they've finally worked out their sleeping arrangements. :)
We took 84 to 82N and arrived at the campground around 5:30.
It was cold and overcast, but it was NOT RAINING. We’re just so happy to be done with the rain. Our stuff, including the camper, may actually dry out and stay dry here.
We ate soup and bagels for dinner, took the Boys for a walk, read awhile and then went to sleep fairly early (10:30). Kind of a boring day, but hey, it was a travel day – they’ve got to be done.
